Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony: Roswell Area Park Pond

The City of Roswell invites residents and media to attend the official ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, Sept. 10, at 10 a.m. at Roswell Area Park, marking the completion of the approximately $3.1 million project funded through the voter-approved 2022 Bond Program.

The comprehensive project addressed aging infrastructure and long-term environmental needs at the pond through reconstruction of the pond embankment, dredging, stormwater infrastructure improvements, new pond forebays, retaining wall and trail improvements, landscaping, 35 new trees, and new turtle habitats.

These improvements strengthen the pond’s long-term stormwater function, support environmental health and enhance the surrounding park experience for residents and visitors.

The project represents the City’s continued investment in maintaining and improving Roswell’s public spaces while addressing infrastructure needs and preserving an important community amenity for future generations.

Fishing & Pond Restocking 

Please note that fishing will not immediately resume when the pond reopens. The pond will need time to stabilize before the phased fish restocking process begins. Please do not fish at the pond at this time. Fishing is currently anticipated to resume on September 1, 2027.
