Event Information

Celebrate our nation’s independence at the 4th of July Celebration at Roswell Area Park, an unforgettable evening of live music, family fun, food trucks, and one of the area’s most anticipated fireworks displays. Bring your chairs and blankets and gather with friends, family, and neighbors as the Roswell community comes together for a night under the stars.

As part of the nationwide America250 commemoration honoring 250 years of American independence, this year’s celebration also reflects Roswell’s “America250: Tapestry of Generations” initiative — a year-long community celebration recognizing the people, traditions, and stories that shape our nation and our city. Rooted in the themes of Life, Liberty, and Happiness, the evening celebrates both America’s rich history and the vibrant future we continue to build together.

Guests will enjoy live entertainment, community spirit, and a festive atmosphere leading up to a spectacular fireworks finale at sunset. Whether you’re celebrating family traditions, honoring generations past, or creating new memories, the 4th of July Celebration offers a meaningful opportunity to connect, reflect, and celebrate the enduring spirit of America.
 

Band

Celebrate freedom, music, and community at the 4th of July Celebration featuring 293 Band, Atlanta’s legendary party band delivering an electrifying mix of classic rock, pop, and dance favorites. As part of the nationwide America250 commemoration honoring 250 years of American independence, this unforgettable evening brings people together to reflect on our nation’s history, celebrate the spirit of community, and look ahead to the future with live music, patriotic pride, and fireworks under the summer sky.
 

Special Guest

Special Guest Timothy Miller, renowned Atlanta tenor and longtime voice of “God Bless America” at Atlanta Braves games, will deliver a stirring patriotic performance during the 4th of July Celebration. His powerful vocals and inspiring presence will help honor the spirit of America250 as we celebrate 250 years of American independence, unity, and community.
 

Parking

• Parking will be available at Roswell Area Park, until all lots are full. Staff will be assigning all parking in the park and school lots. Once all spaces are full, the lots and park will be closed to incoming traffic.
• ADA/Handicap parking is available at Roswell Area Park, in the parking area adjacent to the Physical Activity Center. Available until full. Inform staff when pulling into park and you will be directed to ADA/Handicap parking.
• At 5:00 pm, overflow parking will open at Woodstock Soccer Complex (40 Woodstock Street), Crabapple Center (10700 Crabapple Road), new Crabapple Middle School (10790 Woodstock Road) and Roswell North Elementary (10525 Woodstock Road).
• There will be restricted parking in neighborhoods near Roswell Area Park.
• The Rideshare drop-off and pick-up area is at Roswell North Elementary School and Crabapple Center. This lot will be open for drop-off even if the lots are full.
• Public Safety will be directing traffic when the event is over.

Facility Closures

• Park Closure
  • The back area of the park past the Physical Activity Center will close the night of Friday, July 3. This area will remain closed until the event ends and is cleared. Traffic through Roswell Area Park will be rerouted using Emmett Rushin Circle.
  • The walking trail around the back of the park will close at 11:00 am on the morning of Saturday, July 4.
  • The multi-sport field 1 & 2 parking lot will close at 8:00 am, Saturday, July 4 to allow for event set-up.
  • Roswell Area Park and all parking inside the park will close at 6:00 pm, Saturday, July 4.
• Pool Closure
  • Pool will close at 3:00 pm on Saturday, July 4.

• What if I have an emergency at the event?
  Emergency services will be present and centrally located at the event.

• What is not permitted at the July 4th event?
  • No alcohol
  • No tailgating allowed in parking areas
  • No drones
  • No outside fireworks or sparklers
  • No dogs
  • No stakes to anchor tents in fields
  • No outside grills
  • No overnight parking
  • Event rules apply to the park and City-designated parking lots
• Could the event be cancelled?
  The event will be held rain or shine. The fireworks may be cancelled in the event of a significant weather emergency or if the Fire Department deems the area too dry due to drought conditions.

• Can I bring a tent?
  Tents are allowed until 8:15 pm. All tents should be removed no later than 8:15 pm to ensure no viewing obstruction of fireworks. No stakes are allowed for tents or tarps.

• What entertainment will be at the event?
  There will be a family-friendly bands performing starting at 6:00 pm on the Crabapple Field. The band will take a break at 7:30 pm and start another set from 8:00 pm to about 9:30 pm. In addition, the main stage audio will be broadcasted to other viewing areas during all announcements. The park has centrally located playgrounds and open fields for play.

  For 2026, there will be special carnival-style activities and free funnel cakes while supplies last.

• What food will be at the event?
  We will have food trucks at the event: A Little Nauti, Bento Bus, Auggie’s Lucky Tacos, Gekko Hibachi Grill, Viva Pita, Azucar Cuban Cuisine, Ponko Chicken, The Patty Wagon, South of Philly, Fair on Wheels, Kona Ice, Southern Scoops, Frozen Sweets, King of Pops, and Yom Push Pops.

• Is the event ADA accessible?
  Yes, we will have some ADA parking available adjacent to the Physical Activity Center, which provides access to each event area. Available until full. Inform staff when pulling into park and you will be directed to ADA/Handicap parking.

• Can I bring in outside food?
  Yes, you can bring outside food into the park. No grills are allowed.

• Can we bring chairs into the park?
  Yes, chairs are allowed.

• Where is the Rideshare and Drop-Off/Pick-Up areas?
  The Rideshare drop-off and pick-up area is at Roswell North Elementary School or Crabapple Center. These lots will be open for drop off even if the lots are full.

• What is the best place to view the fireworks from inside the park?
  The best viewing areas are Crabapple Field, Multi-Sport Field 1, Multi-Sport Field 2, Roswell Area Park Field 3 (baseball field) and portions of the Roswell North field. Viewing areas and obstructed viewing areas will both be indicated on the park fields.

• Will I be able to use the trail during the event?
  Portions of the trail will be closed for safety. The walking trail around the back of the park will close at 11:00 am on the morning of Saturday, July 4.

• If I live in a nearby neighborhood, what information do I need to know?
  All HOA's within one mile of Roswell Area Park are encouraged to download the Letter to Residents document, which discusses crowd anticipation, emergency access plans, and general event impacts for residents living within one mile of the park.
